Maja Sołtysik – rysowniczka i ilustratorka. Studiuje grafikę na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie. W swojej pracy najchętniej sięga po rysunek – szczególnie portret i studium twarzy. Interesuje ją moment, w którym prosta linia zaczyna oddawać charakter i emocję portretowanej osoby. Tworzy głównie w technikach rysunkowych – ołówkiem, cienkopisem i kredką. Jej ilustracje publikowane były m.in. w magazynach „Zwykłe Życie”, „Non/fiction” oraz w kwartalniku „Ryms”. Równolegle zajmuje się literaturą dzieci i młodzieży – prowadzi audycję „Zagadkowa Niedziela” w Programie III Polskiego Radia, publikuje teksty o książkach i prowadzi blog CzyTa Maja.

Maja Sołtysik – an illustrator and artist working primarily with drawing. She studies graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Her work often focuses on portrait drawing and studies of faces. She is interested in the moment when a simple line begins to capture the character and emotion of a person. She works mainly with pencil, fineliner and coloured pencils. Her illustrations have appeared in magazines such as „Zwykłe Życie”, „Non/fiction” and the quarterly „Ryms”. Alongside her drawing practice she works with children’s and young adult literature – she hosts the program „Zagadkowa Niedziela” on Polish Radio’s Program Three, writes about books and runs the blog CzyTa Maja.
